Demulsifiers are used to assist in separating oil from produced fluids. Primarily, water-in-oil emulsions are created during oil and gas gathering. We have a complete line of chemistries to formulate these with. These demulsifier intermediates include resins, sulfonates, esters, diepoxides, amines and blended products. We also have some reverse demulsifiers or water clarifiers and polymers for oil-in-water emulsions.

Whether hydrocarbon production is coming from a gas or oil reservoir, water is almost always present in the form of an emulsion. Due to scale and corrosion concerns, this liquid must be removed before reaching the refinery. ICG offers products that assist in all steps of demulsification (water drop, flocculation, coalescence and solids wetting).
